WORKSHOP OVERVIEW: By far our most popular workshop, we stay at the Cradle Mountain Lodge. You'll spend 4 fabulous days photographing one of Australia's premier landscape regions under the guided tutition of award-winning photographers Tom Putt and Ian Wallace.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: There is plenty to photograph in this region, from the classic views across Dove Lake to Cradle Mountain at both sunrise and sunset to the golden fagus that surrounds the ancient glacial walls. This workshop is for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, good food and good company as we enjoy the hospitality of the Cradle Mountain Lodge (click here to view their website). We spend most of our days outdoors shooting but then take time in the evenings to review your images and offer constructive feedback for you to take into the field the next day.
SUITABLE FOR: Photographers who want to capture the spectacular landscape of Cradle Mountain, particularly with the fagus turning, and learn about photography and their camera.
WHAT TO EXPECT: A typical day starts with an early rise for sunrise, followed by breakfast back at the lodge, a day walk exploring the magnificent scenery around Cradle Mountain, followed by a sunset shoot. Dinner follows then a critiques with wine in hand. Long days but this is a very practically based workshop where there's plenty of practical one-on-one tuition.
WHAT TO BRING: Camera, tripod, gadgets (because all photographers love their gadgets!), Compact Flash Cards, Camera Bag, your laptop computer, Power cable for laptop, Card reader, Hat, sunscreen, Thermals, Walking boots, Clothes (inc warm ones), Rain Jacket, umbrella, Toiletries, Head torch, snacks, anything else that is vitally important that is not on this list…
